Waves Family Medicine
Midland Office Relocation

(Occurred July 29, 2024)

Dear patients of Dr Robinson & Dr Shaffaf,

By now our Midland Patients have received notification that the Waves team is operating under one roof!

For our first three years of operation, the Waves team has been split between two offices. Drs Robinson and Shaffaf were working out of our Midland location, while Drs Murdoch, Caron and Stacy were located at our Penetanguishene location. We have finally secured the space for all physicians and staff to work together at our Penetanguishene location. On July 29, 2024, Dr Shaffaf & Dr Robinson relocated their practices to the Waves Family Medicine Penetanguishene location.

This means that our Midland location has closed. We know you may have questions, so we included an FAQ section below with important details about the move and what it means for our Midland patients going forward.

We recognize that change can be difficult, and we apologize for any challenges that may arise for our patients as a result of this move. We firmly believe that having one unified location will improve our ability to provide excellent and efficient patient care, and we will do what we can to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period of growth and look forward to continuing to work with you toward your health goals.

Sincerely,

Dr Shaffaf, Dr Robinson, Dr Caron, Dr Murdoch, Dr Stacy and the entire Waves team.

Frequently asked questions

When did this move happen?

Dr Shaffaf and Dr. Robinson relocated to their new office space on July 29th, 2024. All appointments will take place in Penetanguishene from now on.

What is the address of the Penetanguishene office?

101 Thompsons Rd, Penetanguishene, within the Georgian Village &Manor complex.

We recommend using the Edward St entrance and entering the door with the black awning marked “Main Entrance.” Directions are available on our Contact section of the website, including photos to assist you in finding us!

Will there still be a Waves office in Midland after this move?

No. Now that our entire team has moved into the Penetanguishene location, the Midland office at the Huronia Medical Centre is permanently closed.

Will I still be a patient of Dr Robinson / Dr Shaffaf?

Yes! No one will be dropped from any practice as a result of this move.

Will the relocation affect patients of Drs Caron, Murdoch, and Stacy?

No. Patients of Drs Caron, Murdoch, and Stacy should continue to attend their appointments as normal. The relocation mainly affects the patients of Drs Robinson and Shaffaf.

Does this mean the doctors are accepting new patients?

No. All five physicians at Waves Family Medicine have full practices.

Where do I park for appointments at the Penetanguishene office?

Georgian Village has free parking available for our patients, although spots can be limited. We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes early for your appointments to allow time for parking as well as our usual intake procedures. This location is also accessible by bus.

Where can I get lab tests done?

Georgian Village has LifeLabs onsite for those who wish to get their labs completed at the same location as our office. For those who prefer Dynacare, you can still get your labs done at their Midland location in the Huronia Medical Centre.

Where can I find updates regarding the relocation?

Our goal is to update our website, social media pages (@wavesfamilymedicine on Instagram and Facebook) and voicemail (705-355-9283 option 9) with new information as it becomes available.
